Donna J. FURGESON, EDINBURG -- Donna J. FERGUSON, 54, of rural Edinburg died
Monday, April 7, 2003, at her home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1948, in West Frankfort, the daughter of William and
Dorothy LOUIS SEAGLE. She married Larry FERGUSON in 1967 in Sharpsburg. A
Daughter, Mary Snow FERGUSON, preceded her in death.
Mrs. FERGUSON was a homemaker.
Survivors: husband, Larry E.; a son, Larry D. FERGUSON of rural Edinburg;
two daughters, Dorothy FERGUSON of Arkansas and Lucille (husband Curt) HUNT
of Florida; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Lynn (husband, Jim) CLOUSER of
Pawnee; and a brother, Butch (wife, Bonnie) SEAGLE of Morrisonville.
Memorial graveside services: 2 p.m. Friday, Bethany Cemetery, Edinburg.
Masterson Funeral Home in Kincaid is in charge of arrangements.===

J. T. WEATHERFORD, CARLINVILLE -- J. T. "Jaker" WEATHERFORD, 79, of
Carlinville died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at Blake Memorial Hospital in
Bradenton, Fla.
He was born Dec. 28, 1923, in West Frankfort, a son of Tim Sr. and Edna F.
JONES WEATHERFORD. He married Shirley Lee WILLIAMS in 1949 in Carlinville.
Mr. WEATHERFORD was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in North
Africa and Italy. He was in the nursing home business for more than 38
years. He bought Mounts Estate in 1946 and opened Weatherford Nursing Home
in Carlinville in 1947. He and his wife built Sunshine Manor in 1975 and
operated it until his retirement in 1985.
He was a member of Guy BAIRD American Legion post 554, John L. MEYERS VFW
Post 1104 in Carlinville, Gideons, Shriners Club and First Assembly of God
for many years. He was a 50-year member of Carlinville Lions Club and Mount
Nebo Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: wife, Shirley Lee; three daughters, Kathy (husband, Tom) DUGGER
of Hannibal, Mo., Janie (husband, Jim) ASHWORTH of Carlinville and Jeri Lynn
(husband, Jerry) MURPHY of Weatherford, Texas; a son, Ennio (wife, Paola)
WEATHERFORD of Livorno, Italy; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;
two sisters, Delores BROWN of Monroe, Wash., and Marie WELTE of Palmyra; and
a brother, Tim WEATHERFORD of Boca Raton, Fla.
Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, First Assembly of God, Carlinville, the Rev.
Greg WHITE officiating. Burial: Carlinville City Cemetery.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville is in charge of
