Ithink I have answered my own question about Alex, Sr. being son of Joseph
and Mary SUMMERS. According to the "SUMMERS, WHOSE CLUES, NEWS?" Vol III,
No. 4 Aug 1972 quarterly: Alexander SUMMERS, Sr parents are unknown. It
states that he is not the Alexander in the 1820 Sumner Co census unless he
has widowed mother with brothers and sisters with him. Goes on to state he
was in the War of 1812 and was in FCI by 1830. Believed to have had 16
children w/Ambrose being the youngest but only have found 14 suggesting the
other may have died n infancy.
I do have 15 listed for Alexander and Clarissa, Margaret Ann (Peggy),
Alexander, Jr, Malinda, Mary Polly, Robert Alexander, Rebecca Emelline,
Peter, Willliam, James, Elizabeth, Eveline, Daniel, Jane, Ambrose and
Amanda. I found Amanda listed on the 1860 FCI Eastern Twnsp. Census.
Does anyone have the 16th childs name?
