In an earlier posting I had incorrectly indicated that Martha "Patsy" Jones
married the senior Robert Moore who was only about 12 years older than Patsy. 
But in looking at census records I find that she married Robert's son, R. C.
Moore who was about 19 years her junior. 

I remember my mother speaking about "poor Patsy" in a way that indicated
scandal, but I was young and either was not supposed to overhear, or didn't
carefully listen, so I don't remember the conversation.  In looking at the census
records below, I see that Levi and Patsy had a daughter Nancy Jones b 1845 and
there was a Nancy Moore b 1845 in the 1860 household of Robert Moore and Martha
(Patsy) Moore who had not married until after Levi's death in 1850.  Hmmmm,
makes you wonder, doesn't it?  On the other hand the scandle may have been in
that she married a man much younger than herself.

MARTHA (PATSY)9 BROWNING  (JOHN8, LEVI7, JOHN6, JOHN5, JOHN4, JOHN3,
WILLIAM2, JOHN (CAPTAIN)1) was born September 07, 1812 in Franklin Co Illinois, and
died April 05, 1893.  She married (1) CALVIN LEVI JONES April 08, 1827 in
Franklin Co IL, son of MOSES JONES and HESTER THOMAS.  She married (2) ROBERT MOORE
November 10, 1850.

She was the first white female born in  Franklin Co ) died Apr 5 1893 aged 81
yrs 6 mos 28 das  Buried Browning Hill Cem., Franklin Co. IL
