LLOYD M. WILLIS
BENTON
Lloyd M. WILLIS, 95, of Benton, died Monday evening, Dec. 27, 2004, in the
Franklin Hospital in Benton. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 29, at the Masonic & OddFellows Cemetery, with the Rev. Ron
CREMEENS officiating. Those attending the service are requested to meet at
the cemetery. Morton & Johnston Funeral Home of Benton is handling the
arrangements. Lloyd was born on Sept. 17, 1909, in Northern Township, east
of Ewing, on the family farm, the son of Hugh L. and Minnie (McKEE) WILLIS.
He married Helen WILLIAMS on April 10, 1932. They moved and lived all their
happily married life of 63 years together at 15702 Willis Road, Benton,
until recently when Lloyd resided at the Benton Healthcare Center.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce WILLIS and wife, Vickie, of Benton, Alan
WILLIS and wife, Sandra, of Mt. Vernon, and Marvin WILLIS and wife,
Margaret, of Benton; five granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren,
nephews, and nieces. Mr. WILLIS was a lifetime farmer, with the original
part of the farm dating back to 1882, which still remains in the family
today. He was also on the board of directors at the Bank of Benton and its
predecessors for 33 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his
parents and three brothers, Jim, Joe and Russell WILLIS, and a sister, Ethel
BUMGARNER. He will be sadly missed by his family and their dog, Annie.
