Researcher #2 (who has heard of the Copeland family !)

You're correct the Copeland's kept a low profile, but they were living in Franklin County.

There isn't a lot of information regarding them and I believe this is because Cornelius Copeland (Sr) died in 1862, shortly after he arrived in Franklin County. Because of his death, it took his sons, Cornelius and Patrick a while to established them selves.
