Bill R. McCOY, 62, of Christopher died at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, at
the Carbondale Memorial Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Tuesday, May 31, at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher, officiated by
Pastor Lon McPHARSON. Burial will be in the Mulkeytown Cemetery. Visitation was
after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Bill was born April 24, 1943, in
Chicago, the son of Charles and Murtel WILCOX McCOY.

An apartment manager, Mr. McCOY was survived by four children, Michell and Greg
TROTTI of Johnsburg, Bill McCOY of Schaumburg, Shelby McCOY of Christopher, and
Amy and Donnie SHELTON of Lenexa, Kan.; two grandchildren, Mathew Benjamin
TROTTI and Emma Loraine SHELTON; four sisters, Dorothy BULLOCK of Mulkeytown,
Shirley O'BRIEN of Central City, Ky., Shelby ALLEN of Central City, Ky., and
Stella GISLER of Galatin, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his parents and by one brother, Charles McCOY.
