Thoughts on Mitha "Babe" Davis
1. His correct name, parents' names, age, POB, should be listed on his
marriage license appplication circa 1902.
I don't find this marriage in FCI.
2. His parents' name should be listed on his death certificate.
When and where did he die ?
3. Information from obit ?
4. His name should be listed on his children's marriage license application.
Where were his children married ?
5. What information is contained in his Social Security app.
Did he or his wife file for a SS pension.
6. Cemetery information
Where is he buried.
7. Where were they living in 1910 ?
8. Any birth records for the children ?
9. What is Mary's maiden name ?
10. Do the census records consistantly say that he was born in Illinois ?
Perhaps his accent was not foreign. Davis is not a usual name for a
foreign born person to adopt.

>Now, here's the catch, Babe and Mitha are the same person. Shame of it is..with the 1890 census no where to be found(the loss for all family nuts). I can't find Mitha's parents. I've searched the 1880 census just in case his age was a little wrong to see if i could find him as a infant.
>Mitha and Mary apparently were married around 1902. I also think that Mitha is a mispronunciation of Mathias(said as Mathia).
>I lived up in Franklin a few years ago briefly, and was told by some folks that they remembered Babe Davis. A few even said he spoke a little funny(perhaps with a thick accent?)
