Jan, et al.,
no real internet source, but Carla Pulliam has extracted obits & tidbits from
Benton Newspapers from 1850 through 1946, and
Daily American (West Frankfort's paper) 1925 through 1934 (right? Carla :-) )

I don't see one for Raymond L DAVIS in the Benton extractions...

It depends upon where they lived -- there were a smattering of papers all over
the
area - e.g., Sesser, Mulkeytown, etc... Some obits you will find in papers
published in towns just across into other counties like Herrin, Dahlgren,
McLeansboro,
Ina, Mt Vernon, etc...
