Good morning. The books, "A History of the Boultinghouse Family" and "A
Collection of Civil War Era Letters" are softbound, they are 104 and 92
pages respectively. The history is $40 the letters are $50 or both for $80.
The history covers the family of John B'house from 1773 Boston and the
Boston Tea Party through the Carolinas, Ohio and into Illinois. The story
behind the naming of Boultinghouse Prairie is in the book as told by one of
the descendants. The probate records of Daniel Boultinghouse who was
married three times, 8 generations of genealogy, which includes the Johan
Braun (John Brown) family who married into the Boultinghouse, Hon and Stuart
families. Letters from the Illinois and Arkansas years. The Texas years,
with pictures of the children of Daniel and Sarah ( Brown) and Daniel and
Fannie (Shelton) Boultinghouse.
The letters were written by Daniel Brown Boultinghouse and wife Mary Jane
Russell. They depict the day to day life of a Texas couple separated by
war. There are some Historical commentaries and pictures throughout the
book that complement the content of the letters.
