This appears to be a lawsuit on behalf of the heirs of Gen. Michael Kelly
Lawler.
In your list of names
Elizabeth H. Lawler -- This is Elizabeth Hart Crenshaw, daughter of John
Hart Crenshaw and Francine "Sina" (Taylor) Crenshaw. By the time of the
lawsuit she was the widow of Gen. Michael Kelly Lawler.
Emma Lawler -- ?
Margaret Lawler -- ?
Annie Larkin and James Larkin -- Annie E (Lawler) Larkin, daughter of
Margaret Lawler and Patrick Lawler, and a granddaughter of Gen. Lawler on
her mother's side. She married James F. Larkin. They lived in Tennessee by
the time of this lawsuit. Annie also had a daughter named Annie as well.
Margaret Lawler was dead at this time so Annie would inherit part of her
share.
John T. Lawler -- A brother to Annie (Lawler) Larkin and a child of Margaret
and Patrick Lawler. He married Emile Forrester in 1901. He's another heir of
the general through his mother.
M.K. Lawler -- This is probably the M.K. Lawler who is another son of
Margaret and Patrick Lawler and a sister to Annie (Lawler) Larkin. Just like
his grandpa, the Gen. M.K. Lawler, the grandson also married an Elizabeth
Crenshaw, most likely a cousin, but we don't know who her parents were.
Dollie Wright -- unknown
Lizzie Lawler -- Probably, Elizabeth Lawler, daughter of John Chrysostum
Lawler and Mary Ashley. Her father John was a son of Gen. Lawler and he died
in March of 1896.
Maggie Lawler -- ?
Sina Lawler -- ?
Essie Lawler -- This is possibly Ester Lawer, a daughter of John Chrysostum
Lawler and Mary Ashley.
Sina Evans and Charles Evans -- this is probably Francine "Sina" Elizabeth
(Lawler) Evans, a daughter of Gen. M.K. Lawler and her husband Charles P.
Evans. She lived at 3016 W. Commerce St., Taylor, Williamson Co., Texas at
the time of the lawsuit.
As to who your Flora Riley was, I don't know. She doesn't show up in my
database. She probably owed the General's estate money. The notice you have
may have been printed in the newspaper as required so many times for any
out-of-state heirs.
As far as your Sanks connections go. Mary Elizabeth Lawler (the General's
niece and daughter of Thomas Richard Lawler and Sarah Morris) married Henry
G. Sanks.
As to Smiths, a Sarah Smith married William Crenshaw (a first cousin to
General's Lawler's wife, and son of Thomas Hart Crenshaw and Carolyn
Clayton). The closest I can get in the Lawler line is a James Smith who in
1943 married Dorothea Maurice Walters, a great-great-granddaughter of Gen.
Lawler.
Last, but not least, M.K. Riley is Michael Kelly Riley. In all the research
I've done in Gallatin County they only think I've ever seen M.K. stand for
in a name is Michael Kelly and its usually a relative of the general.

> Hope someone can help us tie in our Lawler-Riley connection. We think
there is a connection with our Riley's and the Lawler family. Has anyone on
this list heard of a Flora Riley? February Term 1898, Gallatin Co.
Circuit Court, Chancery Notices: Elizabeth H. Lawler vs Flora Riley, notice
given to Emma Lawler, Margaret Lawler, Annie Larkin, James Larkin, John T.
Lawler, M.K. Lawler, Dollie Wright, Lizzie Lawler, Mggie Lawler, Sina
Lawler, Essie Lawler, Sina Evans, and Charles P. Evans, non residents of the
State of IL. (Info. from Kay). There might be a connection between Lawler's
and Riley's and Smith's and Sanks. Since I had so much help from this list
before, (just by asking) thought I'd give it another shot. WHO IS FLORA
RILEY? (This is fun) Thank you for listening. And I can't prove that
M.K. Riley is MICHAEL KELLY RILEY but I allege (think) he is. Paula
