I am looking for info. on Lenora MILLS. She was born (i believe) in 1910
in Kinsman? She worked as a housekeeper or maid for an affluent family
from the Rock Island area when she was in her early twenties. She became
pregnant out of wed-lock and was sent away to "have the baby" and worked
at St Anthony's Hospital, Rock Island. (It was Fransican Hosp) Her sister
worked at Watertown, a mental hospital near Silvis. She gave birth March
25, 1934 and gave her son,John Patrick Begey, up for adoption. He was adopted
by a nurse from the hospital. I would love to find my father-in-laws birth
family. Lenora could have passed away by now, but if there are any other
MILLS families out there, I would love to talk to you.
