You seem to be quite well informed re. WARDs, etc. I just recently
discovered that my Lavina Deitz Gatlin m. Samuel Ward (his 3rd?) Feb. 20,
1847 in Ham. Co. They apparently had a son (Samuel Huston Ward Jr. b. Dec.
9, 1848?) as a Samuel Ward, age 12 is in the household of Lavina's father
(Samuel Deitz) per 1860 Ham. Co. census. Do you have any info re Sam Jr.
or Lavina? (She is the only child not mentioned in her father's probate
records (Ham. Co.) so I assumed she must be deceased before 1864,
apparently before 1860). Would appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks.
