"The Old Eight Sided House" as we used to call it was situated just off
the paved road (E150) that T's off Rt 14 at what we call "Campbells
Corner" . Go north and you end up in Dahlgren, go south and you go past
Antioch church, past (East of)Macedonia (where I live), and eventually
past where the house used to stand. I guess maybe you all are talking
about the old gravel road that met the paved road right at the house? I
don't know what that was called. I never heard the paved road referred
to as anything other than "The State Aid". I have no idea why it was
called that.
Yes, it does run to Akin, though that is where the pavement ends. I
drove it just a few minutes ago just to see.
There is a little sign pointing on down the road that says Little Springs
Church. I didn't go any further, but could if somebody needs to know
something about what else is down there.
I tried to see if I could find where the house used to be, but could find
no signs of it ever having been there. Even the trees are gone.
I do have a cousin who lives very close to where it used to be, she knows
lots about it. If you are still looking for info I could ask her.
