Subject: [ILHAMILT-L] Headstone expert? RE MUNSELL Cemetery stones

List,

Recently my cousin took some digital images of family stones in the
MUNSELL Cemetery. Two of the stones have inscriptions - a date and
initials - but the other information is incomplete or ambiguous. We
have thought that perhaps they are not grave markers.

If there is someone on the list who is familiar with carving styles and
the types of stones found in Hamilton County's early cemeteries, could
you take a look at these stones online? I have created a web page with
the two similar stones side-by-side, and underneath, four other family
stones in the same cemetery for comparison, along with the dates.
