I believe there are still David's in Carthage Illinois. I worked with one
that was married to a David.

to Virginia Outhier also born in France. They had 9 children that I know of
and all but the youngest where born in Hancock County. Adeline, Ema, August
E., Joseph, Julius F., Isadore A., Mary J., Lilly R., David S.. They had
moved to Adams County, Iowa by 1879.
