Judy;I am sending copy of my notes associated with the names in desc. chart above. I don't have a lot of info. on them, but maybe my source notes will help. As a comment of general information, Theodore SHELDON who married Martha COWSERT was the uncle of my grandpa Ellsworth SHELDON. I do remember my grandpa, grandma, and mother speaking of him many times. Arley SHELDON, wife Ella, and daughters Phyllis, and Dorothy lived just around the corner from our home in Harrisburg, IL when I was a small boy. Dorothy married Bob Keltner who was a pharmacist in Harrisburg for many years, and they attended the McKinley Ave. Baptist Church.

Martha moved to Harrisburg, Saline Co. IL. in 1911, and lived there until her death which
was in Gallatin Co., IL.
There is a single stone in the Sheldon Cemetery in McFarlan Pct which has the names
Theodore Sr., and Martha C. Sheldon on it.

ARLEY SHELDON - RIN 3041

OBITUARY.
Arley SHELDON, 56, well-known representative of the International Union of
Operating Engineers died at his residence of paralysis of the respiratory
system. Been ill since July. Born Hardin Co., Ill. th Theodore and Marth
SHELDON and moved to Saline Co. in 1911, where he resided in Harrisburg ever
since. His first wife, Loudene HILLARD, preceded him in death in 1926, after
which he married Ella DOUGLAS in 1928. One daughter, Phyllis remains at home.
He also had one step daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy HILL) KELTNER, and one
step-grandchild, Bruce KELTNER. A brother, Loy, also survived him. Arley was
business representative in the 14 southern most counties of Illinois, where he
was well known, having held the position since 1930.
Arley was a member of Masons, Shriners, Elks, American Legion, Eagles, and
he was charter member and past commander of VFW and veteran of World War I.
Pall bearers were Douglas EWELL, Stanley MEDLEY, Roscoe COOK, Robert HILLIARD,
Ray ANDERSON and Hal DAWES.
