This is Nancy Boggs Porter born 15 August 1854 in Warren county, Illinois,
one of the first children of Judge John Porter and Mary Ellen Robb Porter's
to be born in Illinois. The mention of Moravia, New York is the first
mention I have about the origin of Dr. George Frank Butler. He and Nannie
lived in Chicago and had a daughter Mary Asonath Butler born 17 January
1887. She married Percy M. Cutler.
Judge John Porter was the first of the Porter family to come to Illinois
from Huntingdon county, Pennsylvania, most of his brothers followed him and
many cousins, uncles and other relatives of this family also came to Warren
and Mercer county. They were staunch Presbyterians.
Thanks so much for the lookup.
