Thanks, Elizabeth, for your input. I think you are right about the changes,
now that I've looked at them again. An extra set of eyes sure helps. As
for looking at land records - not a possibility for me. I live in Florida,
(from one extreme - yours - to another -mine!)

Did your Adam Thompson live near a county border? If so, you might want to
check the other counties. Some of my folks were counted in Hancock Co
instead of Henderson one year. I figured the census taker was hot and he
was lost.
