My gggrandfather is George Antis Sloan born 1819 Ohio He came to henderson
county and married Frances Betterton. He was one of about `18 kids born to
Robert Sloan. He came to Philadelphia from Belfast Ireland. Then to the
Pittsburgh area then to Zanesville,Ohio where he died. Many of his children
settled in Henderson County Area. There was a Sloan family reunion years
ago. I know it was still going in the mid 1940's. I have seen the record
books. Does any one know if they still exists and who has them. The sister
of Carrie Sloan Hendrickson had them in the 1980's. Barb
