Looking for information about the family of WILLIAM SHARP and NANCY COURSEN.

William was the son of ISAAC SHARP and MARTHA MARIA LUSE; the grandson of AARON LUSE and ELIZABETH READ, And the great-grandson of ISAAC READ, Sr. and MARY SHACKLETON. William was born in 1834, in Warren County, New Jersey, probably in the vicinity of Johnsonburg in Frelinghuysen Township. He married his second cousin once removed, NANCY COURSEN, on 10 December 1855 in Warren County.

Nancy was the daughter of JACOB L. COURSEN and HANNAH READ and the granddaughter of JOHN READ and ELIZABETH OGDEN. Isaac Read, Sr. and John Read were brothers. Nancy was born 13 August 1837 in Frelinghuysen Township, Warren County, New Jersey and died 10 May 1905 in Grandville, Jasper County, Illinois.

William and Nancy had at least four children:
1) JACK ELWOOD SHARP, born circa 1858 in Frelinghuysen Township, Warren County, New Jersey

2) ELIZABETH A. SHARP, born circa 1859 in Frelinghuysen Township, Warren County, New Jersey

3) IDA SHARP

4) RUIL SHARP
