Lucy Jewell Osborn's husband James Osborn who died in Delaware Co. Ohio had a sister Hannah that married James or John(?)Love in Luzerne Co. PA I would like to prove whether Hannah Osborn married a John or James Love.
Another of James Osborn's sisters was also in Illinois and died there. Her name was Polly(Mary) Osborn Grist b 14 Jul 1787 (probably in NJ) and she died in Kane Co. IL Mar 4 1862 buried in Plato Center Cemetery.. She went there to live with her daughter after her husband died in the area around Griste Flats, PA.
In my notes I found that Lucy Gore, Murphy Jewell Smith's (she was Lucy Jewell Osborn's mother) stepson Nathan Smith b 10 Jan 1766 m Rhoda Love d/o James Love of Wyoming PA . I also believe that Abigail Love sister of Rhoda Love m Daniel Breese the father of D.Frank Breese who married Lucy Osborn d/o James & Lucy Jewell Osborn. Abigail Love Breese died in Delaware Co. OH. We can see the Loves are all entwined with the Osborns.
Therefore it looks to me as if Lucy Osborn d/o James & Lucy Osborn married her cousin D.F. Brees. This was her cousin by marriage since Lucy Jewell Osborn was raised by her mother Lucy and her stepfather David Smith. Nathan Smith was David's son by his first wife.
