Dave - it may not be this complicated ... LOTS of people went to
Douglas Co., KS (along with Allen, Jefferson and Leavenworth Counties, KS)
from Jefferson and Franklin Counties, Illinois -- there
were several families that left Northern Twp, Franklin Co., IL and
surrounds about this time frame... Land was becoming available there.
In fact there were enough WEBB's and ALLEN's and TAYLOR's etc... That
I joined the Jefferson County (Kansas) Genealogical Society !
