Hello,

I'm new to this list. I just learned that my g-g-grandfather
Green Chesterfield GARRISION was born 9 Dec 1844 in Mt. Vernon,
Jefferson Co. I learned this from his Soldier's Application
for Confederate Pension files which I received yesterday from
the state of Texas, where he died in 1932. Also on his application,
he stated "All of my people were in the Federal army.)

I am trying to locate the names of his parents and siblings.
According to a letter in his pension file, he left home at the
age of 16, headed south from IL, and enlisted in the Confederate
army at Camp Boone, TN.

His first name may be spelled Greene, and he may also be listed
by the name "G.C.".

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
