My Dad's brother, Calvin Ora, well his mother, a GAULT, had no Ora
relatives that I know of.
My Dad's Aunt Ora, well I don't know much about her parents:
WILLIAMS & ATCHISON (there are various spellings). I think one
grandfather was Elihu and the other Matthew. I've been told that
Elihu wife was Elvira & I am not sure of Matthew's wife.
So, I really don't know where the "Ora" name came from.

Kay,
I'll add mine to the mix. In our family we had an Aunt Ora and
also Aunt Ona.
They were called Orrie and Onnie. I never came across it as male,
although
my husband's father was named Harry Edna Christian after his
mother, Lillie
Edna. Perhaps some of those male Ora names had mothers or
grandmothers named
Ora.
