Yes the Rosedale cemetary still exist, I was up there several times
last year basically kicking myself in the rear for not paying closer
attention to my grandfather when he took me there in 1977. Today it is
well maintained behind the old Methosist church that was built in 1903
and worth a visit. When there was a burial there they would ring the
bell once for each year of the age of the dead as they were caried up
the hill.
The records are spoty at best and not complete. The best records are
maintained in the Jerseyville courthouse on the master list. Some
tombstones have been lost or destroyed.
