RHOADES, EDWIN S & BILLINGS, ADDIE PIATT 10/31/1895
RHOADES, WILLIAM D & EDGAR, BIRD PIATT 10/09/1895
marriages from http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/cgi-bin/archives/marriage.s

If you look at the marriage license, you might find more on parents ie Catharine's madien name.
Or if you know where Dent was married.

The IRAD has land records, land is divided into Townships & Ranges (Twp 9 & Rng 10) then Sections and further into quarter sections.

I am searching for information on my Rhoads (Rhoades) family. I believe I have finally traced my g. g. grandfather to a Jacob Rhoades that I have found last on an 1880 census from Monticello, Piatt, IL. He was 38 yrs old at the time and a farmer. He was from OH originally according to the census. He was married to a Catharine (aged 35) from and they had six children living with them at the time: Edmund Rhoades (age 13, from OH); Dent Rhoades (my g. grandfather, age 12, from OH); Wilson Rhoades (aged 9 from OH); Margaret Rhoades (aged 7 from OH); Grace Rhoades (aged 5, from OH); and Mary L. Rhoades (aged 2, born IL). Do you have any knowledge of this family or how they might relate to the Rhoades you are referring to? If so, please e-mail me at .
