You probably should call the State of IL Vital records and see if they will
even release a marriage record from 1957. I had problems with one county -
the clerk thought the people still living and would not release the
certificate. I proved to her that they were deceased - this had been a late
in life marriage between to older adults. I finally got the record. You can
search for IL Vital Records by using the Internet Seach engine. Or, call
the Jersey Co. clerk in Jerseyville - this number is on their website. Hope
