I will write for a death certificate. William lived close to Richard Chidester, my great grandfather, in the 1850 census of Benton, Franklin County, ILL. I didn't find William as having died in 1881 but their was a notation of an "elderly Chidester" man passing in 1880. Can you tell me where you found William's death date?
