I received the following note in e-mail today and am wondering if any of you
know the answer to the question the lady has. I have never heard of this
band, but you may have. Her e-mail address is:

some family history. My great-grandfather, Gilbert Webber, played in the
Illinois Refrigerator Factory Band, which I understand was the Stockton Town
band. This was around the year 1904. We have a picture of the band from a
parade during "fair-time" but it is unlabeled and not very clear. I am
hoping that you might be able to help me locate additional pictures and
documents about that band and the area at the time. His family lived in, or
around, Stockton during that time. Any help you might be would be greatly
