Hello everyone -

I returned just a little while ago from my trip to Illinois. I am still
trying to get things organized here at home before I'll be back to work on
the website. Just wanted to let you know that new things will be coming
soon.

I would like to make you all aware of the hospitalization of one of our
listmembers, and my dear friend and cousin, Jan Cannon. Jan was admitted to
the hospital last Wednesday after having been diagnozed with a very severe
and fast growing tumor in her brain, was immediately admitted to St. Anthony
Hospital in Rockford, IL. Surgery was performed on Wednesday night. Jan is
doing pretty well, but could certainly use any prayers that any of you wish
to utter in her behalf. I apologize to those of you whom I was planning to
meet or call, but this really did change my plans dramatically.

Jan has been a "behind the scenes" contributor to our website, and over
the years has been of tremendous assistance to me in our personal research
and in locating records in Illinois.
