Trying to locate my g-g-grandfathers in 1850. Samuel Lee had a son(George) born in Illinois in 1849 and my gr-grandfather (Henry Clay) was born in Galena in 1852. He married Caroline M. (Walker) born in Indiana. I also have a gg-grandfather Andrew Rowell born in South Carolina that I cannot find in 1850. Andrew married Judith Shaw after her husband died after 1852. I found Judith Shaw with her first husband in Plum River Precinct, Jo Davies County in 1850. Judith married Andrew Rowell after her husband died and moved to Iowa. Samuel Lee was in Iowa in 1855 state census and his son Henry Clay married Martha Rowell daughter of Andrew and Judith Rowell. I know there is a connection but have been unable to locate them. I have looked in censuses, tried marriage records. Any suggetions would be appreciated as to where I might look. I have tired one newspaper in Jo Davies but it was not much help. Any suggetions as to which one. Thanks for any help Janeen Ryseff.
