Attempting to secure additional info on Henry Bartell (Bartel/Bartle), my gg grandfather, who farmed in Guilford Twp. Jo Daviess Co. from around 1841 to 1890. His father was John Bartell and his mother was Jennifer Jane Gundry. He and wife Mary Ann Harvey Bartell immigrated from Camborne, Cornwall, England, and are buried in Miner's Cemetery at Vinegar Hill. Henry had two brothers (believed to be named Thomas and John Bartell) who also came from Cornwall around 1839 - 1841. Henry had 14 children b. 1837 ? 1861? Elizabeth Bartell (born in Cornwall. m: James Edwards), Mary(m: William Jelly), Sophia (m: James Sales), Henry Jr (m: Susan Tresseddar), John (m: Lavinia _?_, Joseph (m: Elizabth Ford), Caroline (m: William Sales), Lavinia (m: Samuel Richards, George Richards), William (m: Matilda Noble), Francis (m:?), Thomas (m:?), Benjamin (?), Sarah (m: William Bartle), Jasper (m:?). Does anyone have additional info they would care to share on Henry and his decendents?
