Below are some dates for the Thomas Murrie family of Johnson County. The
formatting is not good but I think you can figure things out if you print a
copy. Thomas was the son of Charles Murrie who was born in about 1765-1770.
I don't know the place of his birth but the family was living in Maryland
1790-1800. They lived in Caswell County NC until about 1820-1824 when they
moved to Henry County, TN. Charles died there in about 1833. Charles' wife
was named Deborah but I don't know her maiden name. She was born about 1770
and probably died in Henry County in about 1845.

Thomas Murrie moved to Johnson County in the middle to late 1830s. A brother
William moved to Massac at about the same time. Although the Murrie name has
disappeared from Massac, there are descendants of William Murrie's daughters
living there.
