John Elms (Christopher Sr, John Thomas, born Abt. 1762 in Cumberland County
Pennsylvania, and died 1778 in Johnson County Illinois. He married Anne ?
Abt. 1777.
John and James Elms. sons of Christopher, and William Elms (possibly
Christopher's brother) joined George Rogers Clark in 1777-1778 for invasion
of Illinois Country.John died while serving in Illinois Regiment of NW
Terr., on this expedition,
After John Elms death,she married John Thomas Snodgrass and moved with
Christopher Elms and Margaret to Logan County Kentucky.
John and Ann ? had a daughter-Margaret"Peggy" Elms, born Abt. 1778. She
married Frederick Coots January 11, 1830 in Butler County Kentucky.
