Subject: [ILJOHNSO-L] Meningitis epidemic ca 1880-1882

Does anyone have info about a meningitis epidemic in Johnson Co in the
early 1800s. It seems that several deaths were recorded from March 1881
to May 1881 from either cerebral or spinal menigitis. Some of the
persons lived in Bloomfield and Vienna Townships. We only have partial
records from this time which indicate that some of the persons were -
John T McKenzie, Priscilla Morgan, Flora Belle Morgan, Frank Aikins,
Augusta Beal. We hope that some of you have more information. We are
particularly interested in the McKenzies and Davidsons.
