How wonderful to have these available to us! Thanks to the
transcribers, typists, formatters, loaders, etc. I have read (thrice)
the bio for Wilson Alexander as I believe him to be a brother of my
ggg-grandmother/aunt (yes, she's both - that's another story). I have
excerpted:

WILSON ALEXANDER, who has resided on his little farm of sixty acres
on section 25, Tunnel Hill Township, for the past twenty years, was
born in Williamson County, Ill., in September 1830. <cut> He (this
he refers to Wilson's father, Gideon Alexander) died there in
September 1865 aged ninety-four years. *****He was a widower
forty-three years, having lost his wife in 1823.***** She bore him
ten children, five sons and five daughters, of whom Wilson was the
last born.

Does anyone have further information on this family?? This does not
help me - Wilson, who is reported born in 1830 was born 7 years after
his mother dies? Was there a second wife who is not mentioned in the
bio? I thot maybe there was a typo, but it's too clear to allow for
that. Part of what I did not copy here states that the family moved to
IL in 1822 from TN. 1860 Johnson Co census shows Wilson age as 26 (born
1834??). I don't find the family in the 1870 census.

Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks for your time and brain cells!

Marcia
