The 1850 Johnson County census shows Craft McFarland (age 29) with wife
Martha (age 25) living near Parker. From later marriage records of a child,
Martha was Martha Meadows. The census shows children: Bethena, age 11
(probably not Martha's daughter); William, age 6; Mary J, age 4; Nancy C, age
1. From later marriage records they also had a child, John McFarland. John
married (1) Unknown, (2) Nancy Elizabeth McMahan, daughter of Samuel McMahan
and Elizabeth Oliver, (3) Mary Jane Burns, daughter of Henry Burns. Any
additional data on this family would be greatly appreciated.
