I don't have the information that you need, but can eliminate two source
books. I looked at the indexes for Mrs. P.T. Chapmans 1925 History of
Johnson County and also the 1990 Johnson County, Illinois History &
Families. There were COTTONS mentioned in the index of Chapman's book but
NOT a GEORGE W. COTTON. There weren't any COTTONS mentioned in the 1990
book index.
