I don't know whether we have a connection but it seems likely. My
gg-grandfather, Joshua Powell, lived Maury County TN in 1830 and 1840. His
wife was Tabitha Hogg (which opens up a whole new batch of potential Johnson
County interconnections). They arrived Johnson County IL by 1860, probably
much earlier. Their daughter was in Johnson County by 1847 when she married
my g-grandfather. In Tennessee, the family branches appear to have been in
Lawrence, Maury, Marshall, and Giles counties.

The A. B. Loless, who married (1) Charlotte Hudspeth, also married:
(2) Mendoza Dooms (widow of Wesley Gilley) 2 Sep 1866 in Saline County.
(3) Margaret Horn 26 Aug 1888 in Williamson County (marriage performed by
Jason Finley, JP and grandson of Joshua Powell).

Ain't genealogy fun.
