The Johnson Co IL message board that I use for the Johnson Co IL ILGenWeb site is a great tool as it is gatewayed to the Johnson Co IL mail list.

When you put your message on the Johnson Co IL message board this gives you two sources.

When folks research the message board they will see your query and those that subscribe to the mail list will see the query.

You may want to post your Johnson Co IL message to the Johnson Co IL message board first and that way those who are not subscribers to the mail list will see your message.

I thought I would suggest this as both are archived but I believe more exposure for your research in Johnson Co IL if you did it thru the message board.
