On the 1860 Bollinger, MO census, pg 511, 425/435, I found Leaper Johns, 32,
b. IL; Rebecca, 25, b. IL; Isaac N., 6, b. MO; Harriet C., 3, b. MO; Sarah
C. 2, b. MO; and Nancy J., 9/12, b. MO. Think this is Isaac Leeper Johns,
who married second, Eliza J. (Hindman) Harris. Rebecca probably died in MO or
IL before Jan 1867 when Isaac L. Johns and Eliza Harris married. Eliza's first
husband, William Pitt Harris, died of disease while in civil war--Apr 1862.
Isaac helped Eliza file for a pension for children on his record. Only record
I was able to obtain was for youngest Harris child, James M. Harris. Wm P.
was the brother of my Emery Thomas Harris. I have looked for descendants of Wm
P., but so far have not located any. It is likely that Isaac died before
1870 as he was not in the hh with Eliza and the Harris children and her Johns
child, Silas. E. Moore
