Good morning Louise---Sorry to be so long in getting back to you. No good
excuse, just a lot of chores that kept me from the computer!
The following are the Pickerells that I have, with dates that I have. You
may have all of them but I promised I would send them.
Andrew John---born abt. 1855
Charlotte---born abt. 1857
Claud---born abt. 1877
Hogan---born abt. 1851
John---born abt. 1830, & died Jan. 1, 1911
Laura F.---born Jan. 10, 1862, & died Oct. 11, 1916
Louise Caroline---born abt. 1862
Lydia T.---born abt. 1862 {?---not sure of that}
Maud---born 1872
Peralla---born abt. 1860
Piety---born 1878
Walter---born 1874
Hogan married Piety Stokes, the daughter of Jones Stokes, Sr. & Elizabeth
Davidson, & step-sister to my great grandmother, Elizabeth {Stokes} Sivia.
Jones was first married to Manerva Davidson, sister to Elizabeth Davidson, with
whom he had my gt grandmother & several other children. Piety Stokes was the
last of three children Jones had with Elizabeth Davidson. Hogan & Piety were
parents of Maud, Walter, Claud & Piety Pickerell.
John Pickerell married Hannah Dixon Wiggs, & was father of Hogan, Andrew
John, Charlotte, Peralla, Louise Caroline, Lydia, & Laura F.
Laura F. Pickerell married Henry J. Stokes, who was the son of Morgan
Stokes, who was brother to my great grandmother, Elizabeth {Stokes} Sivia.
I have more information on the Stokes side of these families if you are
interested, also a little on the Wiggs family. I will be glad to send any &
all of it if you desire.
Let me know if you have any corrections to the above. I could be wrong
about some of the dates as a few are from census records.
Your husband was probably close to the Rocky Boy Reservation at times, as
the Assinaboine Reservation was not too far to the east of Havre {if I
remember correctly] I visited the Crow Reservation a few times, as the Custer
Battlefield is on that reservation.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Larry
