Hi Joyce,

My mother's family line had the name GREEN from Carrol Co. in Tennessee - married into COX and LOWRY. Many from these lines came to Johnson Co. IL during/after the Civil War. I haven't done any true research on the GREEN line, so here is the outline that I have.

Hi- I have a great grand father, Edmond Green Escue, b 1836 TN lived Johnson
Co, IL later. Have you by chance come accross this name in your search? I
have wondered where the Green came from, but no idea, unless it was a neighbor
in TN named Edmond Green.
