I was asking about the naming of Berner Road which runs south from Shoe Factory
Road to Summit St. at the Kane-Cook County line. My great-grandmother was Mary
H. Berner and her family may have been farmers in the Elgin area. Like so many,
they immigrated from Germany.

Where can I purchase the book, Kane County History, by Joslyn and Joslyn? So
many of my father's relatives are from the area that it would probably be worth
it to try and get a copy.

Thanks for any help!
