It is possible, Monica, that Round-Tree may have been an area, or
intersection, or crossroads. If discovered this same thing trying to locate
the burial cemetery of my GG grandfather. Some sources had him buried at
Canada Corners in Kane Co. Come to find out, Canada Corners was a
well-known crossroad of five roads (or trails) in the 1850. The small
cemetery where he lies is close to Canada Corners, but called Lily Lake.
Sometimes, you need to expand the search area.

-Hi all, since we are discussing cemeteries and some of you
are in the mood
to go out and look around I'll ask my question again in case
you see this on
your walks or new members are on the list who may be able to
help.
Does anyone know of a place called ROUND-A-TREE? In a civil
war listing I
found that my husband's great grand father, who was killeed
in the war, was
buried in round-a-tree cemetery. No one seems to have heard
of that place
in Kane County. I'm wondering if it is a section in a
particular cemetery
or maybe just an old expression. Is there a list of all
cemeteries in Kane
Co. IL listed on the web? Any ideas or thoughts on this
issue would be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Monica
