I would have to make the sumation that when families that are in the area are not listed - that they were not - they were the ones that moved around. I have found that every other census or so my family was missing. I later found that they lived in different towns and moved from place to place. They had no real stable home to be found at. Or they were off visiting other family members in other states. I also have found that spellings are and can be widely mistaken by the census people.
