Thanks to all who sent the obit of Cora Read to me. It opened still more research for me to do. I may be within a year of finding some descendants of the Read, Chase, and Walker families who were living near or in Kane County at the time. These would be my distant cousins.

On September 11th, the day the World Trade Center and the Pentagon was attacked, I was in Estherville, Iowa and found Cora Walker Read's brother's obituary (my grandfather) Orrin Walker who died on 31 December 1908.
