Hello Mike,

Unfortunately, I do not know anything about your Lindsays. However, I
wanted to ask if you are researching any Petersons who lived in Udina, Kane
Co., Illinois in the late 1800's. The family members that I know of are:
Mary Peterson, b. July 2, 1844, from Sweden, d. Dec. 22, 1914 and was the
mother of Johanna Peterson.
Christ P. Nelson, b. Aug. 5, 1861, of Denmark, d. Nov. 1, 1904, McQueen
(Udina) IL. He worked in Kane Co., then returned to Denmark, married
Johanna Peterson of Sweden abt. 1886-87, in either Denmark or Sweden, and
returned to Udina to farm and raise a family.
Johanna K. Peterson, b. Dec. 19, 1866, Sweden, d. Sept. 28, 1921, Udina.
Christ also had a brother, Mortin or Martin Nelson.
Mary and Johanna are the only Peterson names that I know.
Obviously, the Nelson and Peterson branches of my family are my brick
walls - though I'm only about 30 years ahead/earlier on my Ryan branches!

Hope this may lead to a connection. Thank you for your time.

Gayl Ryan

> LINDSAY - PETERSON
> The 1860 Campton, Kane Co, Illinois census shows a Joseph LINDSAY, b. abt
1793 in New York, wife is Olive b. about 1798 New York. I believe he may be
descendant of the LINDSAY's in Argyle, Washington Co, New York. Does anyone
have a record of him? He is living next door to Richard LINDSAY, b. abt 1838
in Canada who is married to Anna PETERSON, daughter of Duncan PETERSON.
Sincerely, Mike Peterson
