The only place I can think of that might be the store you are talking about
is the Aurora Historical Society's store on 20 E. Downer Pl, Aurora, IL.
60505. 630-906-0650. The Aurora Historical Society's Archives is located
in the beautiful Tanner House on Cedar ST. And Oak Ave. Aurora, IL. 60506
630-897-9029. They just recently received some records from St. Nicholas
Church. St. Nicks was a very important church for the Luxembourger
community. They are working on indexing them. The people to contact are
Dennis Buck and or Barbara Peck.
As to the Luxembourger Club--I don't think this exists anymore as a
fraternal type organization and I don't know if any records were ever saved.
I've been working with Aurora genealogy for 30 years and have never heard
that they were kept and/or saved.
The Aurora Public Library has "An Every Name Index to Joseph Lies"
Luxemburger Immigrants to Aurora by Michael Fichtel. I could look up a name
for anyone who is interested. We also have copies of "Aurora, Illustrated:
A Brief Sketch of a Beautiful and Progressive City" This shows some great
pictures of prominent buildings and residences. I hope this information is
helpful.-----Original Message-----

There is a small store downtown Aurora that has the book 'Luxemburger
Immagrants to Aurora'. I hope someone else on the list can give the name
of the store and address. They also has another book 'Aurora Illinois
Illustrated 1890'. This book has lots of pictures of early buildings in
Aurora. I looked for the Luxembourgers Club but didn't find it there. It
still is a very interesting book.
