Do you happen to have a handout available electronically You could send to me after the lecture. I live in California but raised in Kane County and would be very interested in your talk about the epidemics that went thru that area for certain times.
Thank you

MEDICAL HISTORY CAN SUPPORT YOUR RESEARCH
As you do your genealogy research, you will find indications of diseases
with very strange names, with illnesses which no doubt made differences in
ancestors lives, and with causes of death that seem mysterious to the
modern researcher.
Our discussion will concern itself with medical words, current and
old-fashioned, with medical methods that once were the accepted way to deal
with illness, and with the history of medical discoveries and inventions
that made diseases and surgeries more tolerable for our ancestors.
If youve discovered that an ancestor seems to suddenly disappear, perhaps a
review of the epidemics that swept through an area will be the key to
knowing what happened.
Join us at the Kendall County Genealogy Group meeting on Saturday, November
20th, at the Chapel on the Green, 107 W. Center St., Yorkville. Well begin
at 1:00 p.m. and conclude by 3:00...with a bit of extra time available for
researching in the library or looking at using the computer for the topic.
Bring your friends, and your experiences in old medicine, and join us for an
interesting and informative discussion. If you have questions, write to
Kristy at <> with KCGG MEETING in the subject so I will
recognize your note.
